Nirvana day 2024
On February 11 our sangha was joined by a visitor from RK Chicago and some of her family. It was wonderful having her with us to celebrate this special Buddhist holiday.

On December 31, 2023 sangha members helped to polish the brass candlesticks and incense urn, as well as cleaning the entire altar area. This is in preparation for the New Year. It is also symbolic of polishing our own buddha nature and letting it shine forth in 2024.
We were blessed with several FGCU student visitors in November. They are all taking a World Religions class and these students wished to visit our group. They were a joy to have with us, and we wish them success in their studies.
On April 9, 2023 RKFM celebrated Buddha’s Birthday. As part of the celebration sangha members poured sweet tea over the statue of Baby Buddha, reminding ourselves of our connection with the Buddha and rejoicing together.
Our Fort Myers Center will joyfully reopen for Sunday services on March 5. Some services will still be a hybrid zoom service, and some will be totally in-person. All are welcome to attend!
On April 3, 2022 we celebrated Buddha’s Birthday with a Zoom service led by RKNY Church and with a special presentation by RK Chicago English speaking members. We hope that we will be able to have an in-person service in 2023 for this beautiful event. This photo depicts out April 2019 service in Fort Myers.
On December 15, 2021 sangha members brought gifts for distribution to the homeless at Abundant Grace Fellowship. This year we brought sport bags, hats/scarves/gloves, socks, and oranges. It is a wonderful service project for our group as well as bringing joy to our community in Fort Myers, FL.
On July 28, 2021, sangha members brought food donations to Abundant Grace Fellowship in Fort Myers for distribution to the homeless. This is an ongoing project, and one that we all find very rewarding.
On May 12 sangha members met at Abundant Grace Fellowship with donations of fresh fruit, sunscreen, and insect repellent. It is or one act of community service, and it is always rewarding.
